This Halloween I got the brilliant idea of trying polka dots on  pumpkins and the picture doesn't really do them justice but they turned out really cute in the dark. Every year I try something new on the pumpkins and I think this design is a keeper!
So this is three quarters of the gang on Halloween night, Miranda actually went trick or  treating with her best friend. I can 't believe she's old enough to do that...snif....snif.....but here's the rest of the zoo without her,
Thank goodness for recycled costumes. I think Miranda wore this once and this was Chloe's second time as our little witch. She really is a photogenic kid!
Noah loves all things construction, so he was our resident Bob the Builder. Need I say more, just look at that mug, he was in heaven!!!
Savannah was a 'recycled' kitty and she is such a poser, I didn't even tell her what to do I just point the camera and click.
Christian really wanted to be a vampire for Halloween but  by the time we got to the costume store all they had in his size was the doctor scrubs. At least the outfit was only 13 bucks. What a cheapskate I am!!!
In case you don't recognize the get up, Miranda, is dressed up as thing one from Dr. Suess. Her best bud, Megan, was thing two and they came up with it on their own, went shopping together and trick or treated on their own!!! It's kind of fun to see them get a little self reliant but I guess they have to do it sometime. It's bittersweet, more sweet than bitter to see them turn into people and have a life. Anyway, that's our Halloween '08 and we hope you all had a wonderful holiday with many more to come!!!

Halloween '06 was our very first Halloween in our new house and our first holiday here as well. We had just moved in Oct. 1st and before we knew it I only had two out of five costumes ready! Typical. Savannah the  Princess and Noah the Pooh were raring to go, so we got a dress up dress out of the toy chest and turned Chloe into a dead princess, Miranda the pop diva and Christian the injured football player. Not bad for the last minute, huh!?! Never mind the fact that half of us were steeping on the floor and I didn't even know where the toothpaste was but, Halloween, here we come!!!
Christmas '06 came quickly on Halloween's heels which was fun because I still felt like we were squatting in someone else's house and putting our decorations out really warmed up the place. The kids are standing in the sitting/dining room area and it was groovy to put up the tree in there because the only other thing in there was the piano! And it didn't fill up the room quite as nice as the tree loaded with presents. Merry Christmas!
Easter '07 brought lots of firsts for us. First good weather we had at our new house, first chance to put the kids in all the cute stuff I had been searching for weeks for them, and the first blooms on our cute little weeping cherry in the background. Happy Spring to all!!!
Chloe and Christians' birthday '07 brought lots of smiles and games, new sleeping bags just in time for the b-day sleep over, friends and lots of junk food. This is the next morning trying out their new toys in the only chair we had in that room at the time. (see I told you it looks like we are squatting in a vacant house!!)
Summer '07 was definitely a 'princess' summer for our dainty little Savannah. Auntie Irene had sent her some leotards and such and she practically lived in them, didn't matter the time or weather! It's always fun to document the girlie stuff she does, because she is usually running around the house like a mini linebacker, knocking everyone and everything out of her way! We love our little princess tough girl!

This was our summer '07 family vacation to beautiful McCall Idaho with our good friends, the Stimmels. So it was sunscreen and sore muscles, good food and good company. We always try and invite ourselves somehow, but I mean how can they resist us....they can't....cause we are the ones with the boat!
Halloween '07
Al-righty then, if I were to come clean I would have to admit to not being the Martha Stewart of home projects BUT, I can make a mean felt costume (wait a minute while I pat myself on the back a few times). So Miranda had decided she wanted to be a Christmas tree for Halloween this year and I had to scratch my head a few times before I figured it out. But with a few yards of felt and some glitter glue...PRESTO...suddenly I feel like the greatest mom in the universe! If that's all it took right?! Savannah wanted to be Tinkerbell and Chloe needed a turn at rock stardom, and Christian wasn't holding his clubs but he was our Tiger Woods. Noah, our little cow, is also wearing another felt creation of mine. I originally made it for Miranda at that age and I loved it so much that every one of our kids has worn it for one Halloween or another. I have so few masterpieces that I have to show them off when I can. And who can blame me with such great models!!!
Christmas '07 at the Sessions' house brought lots of family, lots of kids running around and lots of pajamas!!! We have a tradition at our house on Christmas Eve that the kids open one present, which is always pajamas, so that we have new PJ pictures on Christmas morning. Both sets of Grandparents and Rich and Shar's kids were with us for the Eve festivities and it was a PJ feeding frenzy!!! And since it was the last holiday we had with Rich, Shar and crew before they moved back to Utah, was a very special memory for all of us. We love and miss you guys like crazy!

Easter '08 brought a very fast and fun weekend trip to Stan's parents' house for a Sessions family gathering and missionary farewell for Stan's Mother and Father. They left a couple of weeks after that and flew off to a little place called Africa!!! I think his Mom was terrified (who wouldn't be!!) but they have since settled in and are lost in the work. We hear from them often and pray for them even more! And on a little side note, I am hiding a little behind Christian but I have been losing weight and as of that weekend I was down 30 pounds! Yeah me!!! My total so far is down 45 pounds and counting! I will post my progress over the summer. Half way to my goal then Stan can tell everyone that I'm his trophy wife!! heehee!
Okay, so how cute is this? Do I even need to say more...well I'm gonna! Whenever we are going on a family ski trip, lots of ski gear is bound to be laying around before, during and after a trip and Noah cannot help himself to try whatever he can gets his little grubbies on. The thing on his melon is actually a neck muffler but he thought it was a beanie. Sure makes for a cute Kodak moment! Well, I hope you enjoyed our Zoo and you didn't sleep through too much of it! Lots of love to all!
Love,
The Sessions
